We're on a mission to become the leader in developing sustainable building materials for the construction industry. We believe in the power of American farming, eco-friendly practices, and engineering solutions that work.
Our Mission
Building a Better Future
At Bison Biocomposites, we're reimagining what building materials can be. Traditional construction materials are energy-intensive and contribute significantly to carbon emissions. We're changing that narrative.
Our hemp-based materials don't just reduce carbon footprint—they actively sequester carbon, turning buildings into carbon sinks. And we've engineered them to perform at the speed and scale that modern construction demands.
Every decision we make is guided by these core principles.
Made in America
Proudly supporting American farming and domestic manufacturing. We source our hemp from U.S. farmers and manufacture all products domestically.
People First
Better products for healthier homes and safer worksites. Our materials are non-toxic, breathable, and contribute to improved indoor air quality.
Planet Positive
Carbon-sequestering materials that give back to the earth. Every product we make actively removes CO₂ from the atmosphere.
Leadership
Meet the Team
The visionaries and experts driving the future of sustainable construction.
Chad Frey
President
Chad is a seasoned executive with extensive knowledge of business development, startups, agriculture, supply chain, and construction. Over eight years, he's built three organizations and worked with farmers, manufacturers, and policymakers on an infrastructure for industrial hemp.
Greg Hamann
COO
Greg has a lifetime of experience as an owner-operator in the precast concrete industry. After selling his precast company, he started a consulting company and is now hired by businesses to improve operations, implement systems, and train team members.
Joel Foderberg
Chief Engineer
Joel has over 40 years of experience in the precast concrete industry. As an owner-operator and engineer, he's created dozens of patents for products like IconX, a wythe connector system for high-performance insulated wall panels. Prior to IconX, Joel was President of Omega Concrete Systems.
Marc Maguire
CSO
Dr. Marc Maguire is a tenured professor at the University of Nebraska, Peter Kiewit Institute. Marc leads the Construction, Architectural, and Structural Research Laboratory, where his work in sustainable structural systems and materials is transforming efficiency, cost, and safety in the built environment.
Davis Foderberg
VP of Development
Davis has over 10 years of experience in the precast concrete industry. He runs the company IconX and has experience designing and manufacturing thermally non-conductive wythe connectors.
